The opening scene used a variety of shots from establishing shots of Enola's house, to close ups of her expressive face. Dynamic camera movements such as tracking shots following Enola, create a sense of energy and almost mystery. The camera focus is sharp, drawing attention to key details which in turn enhance the narrative.
Editing:
Quick cuts and jump cuts are used to create a fast-paced and exciting atmosphere. This reflects Enola’s energetic personality. The editing also emphasizes the mystery unfolding
Sound:
The soundtrack is a crucial part in setting the tone for this movie. A blend of suspenseful music and ambient sounds enhances the mood and helps the audience be more intrigued as to what is going on and allows them to take a deeper look into the scene.
Mise-en-scene:
The setting is a Victorian era home, visually rich, with details that hint towards Enola's unique character and all the secrets that she keeps to herself, as well as her mother’s. Costumes and make-up reflect the time period and Enola’s rebellion.

Why I chose this film:
I chose this film because it is the same general genre as my partner and I's 8-week film project. However, it has a different subgenre. I have seen this film before, but every time I watch it I always notice something new or put together two dots that I haven't in previous times I've seen it.
