Wk 4 Post 2 - production

Production: Over the weekend when Lauren and I filmed, we both had important roles to make sure our filming when successful. I was the director and one of the cinematographers. While, i was in charge of finding the perfect time of day for the best lighting and also was a cinematographer. Everything went very well. We did ended up changing a locations. For example, we changed Lily's house because we found a better option that was more excess-able. As the director, Lauren made sure we had good time management, made sure everything was where it was supposed to be like props, and she also made sure our vision came into real life. Lauren and I took turns being the cinematographers. The camera shots and storyboard really helped us make sure we had the correct camera angles, camera level, and camera shots. Overall, this day of filming went very well.

Wk 4 Post 1 - Production

Filming: Lauren and I filmed over the weekend. We filmed at 2 different locations. Lauren and I met at 9:30AM to start filming our first scene. We were in hair, makeup, and costume. By around 10:30AM, we had all of our shots and scenes completed for our first location. This location includes both Lily and Emmas houses. This ran very smoothly. Lauren and I then changed into our costumes, hair, and makeup needed for the next location. We then drove to our next location which was a pier. We were here from 10:45AM to 12AM. We needed a sunny day and wanted to get the best time for natural lighting possible since that was all the lightning we were using. Overall this production day went very well.

This is my 2.13 Case Study assignment. We were asked to choose a movie or tv show and the analyze the opening scene. We analyzed the editing techniques, such as pace, cuts and transitions. For my movie I chose Frozen 2. I chose this movie because I have seen it multiple times and I felt like the analysis would be easier because of that. I analyzed the first 5 shots, then wrote out a conclusion for the beginning of the movie as a whole. Here is my assignment
