Wk 8 Post 6 - Finishing
Final touches: Today was the final work day in class. I worked more on my CCR's. I finalized a script for my CCR 2, however I couldn't film because a location was not available. Since it was our last day in class, we had our teacher help us with exporting our final movie out of Premier Pro and onto out flash drive. Then I posted it onto YouTube. Before I posted it, the pauses where the screen went black were way too long, so I had to go back in, shorten them, and export it for a second time. Then I posted the final version. In the description, I gave a short summary of our movie opening, as well as the genre. This blog post is my final one before posting all my finished CCR's and my final Video. Looking back on all that I've done so far is very rewarding and I am proud of myself for sticking to it and seeing it out through the end.
Wk 8 Post 5 - Post Production
Editing: After all the editing for this project was done, and we were exporting it out of Adobe Premiere Pro, we had realized some of the mistake we made during the production process. The first mistake we made, we didn't have 2 different cars available to us since me and Lauren both can't drive, so both of our characters had the same car. Then, in the last scene, we wanted Lauren's character to be driving, but since she doesn't have her license that would be illegal. So we did the best we could and she was moving her hands on the steering wheel a little bit. It looks a little funny but it we the best that we could do.
Wk 8 Post 4 - Eclipse city movie poster assignment
Eclipse City Movie Poster: What are there expectations of your tv drama? From our television drama poster you can expect to see a science fiction and a dystopia movie. The elements of science fiction are the flying saucers and the permeant eclipse. These are science fiction because these things arent necessary real and involve science. The dystopia feel comes from the broken down city which is an example of dystopia. Justify your choices and decisions by incorporating theoretical ideas from this unit? For our movie poster we went with a sci-fi dystopian hybrid movie. We showed this through our poster by incorporating sci-fi elements such as UFOs and an eternal eclipse. We brought in the dystopian aspect by the destroyed city at the bottom. The green sky is also a sci-fi element, as a green sky is not possible.
Wk 8 Post 3 - CCR's
CCR planning: Yesterday I filmed the fourth CCR. Me and Lauren did a podcast. We decided to each chose two questions that answered the main question. We named the podcast Chill Chats. It only took us a couple takes to get a perfect one. Once we got the perfect take, we put it into caput. Then I created a logo using canvas. I just searched for podcast logo templates the I changed the color to go along with our theme. Then I put that into caput along with the audio. Then I added in music. I used the same song that we had used for our movie opening. Then I exported it and uploaded it to YouTube. For the fourth CCR question, I created a powerpoint and recorded a video today. I used a mic to make sure the sound was perfect. Between each slide I paused the video then restarted it so that it would be easier for me to match up with the slideshow. I am currently editing it on caplet. I am deciding what kind of quiet slow background music to add, but I'm not sure.
Wk 8 Post 2 - CCR's
CCR creation: I started with the fourth CCR. I am doing a powerpoint presentation for this one with a voice over of me going into more detail. I created the power point and I decided to make one slide for each software used. I then created one singular slide for all the equipment and technologies used. I have not finished yet, but the software slides will each have a brief description about how they helped me throughout the 8 weeks we have been working on this project. As well as a photo of the softwares logo, and the name. To go along with this, I will be making a script. In this script I will just be going into more detail then o the slides. I will be reading off of this in my video voice over. I will then put the video and sound into adobe and edit anything I need. After it is edited, I will post it onto my YouTube Chanel. Then I will wait till the end to post it as my last CCR on my blog, with the other 3 before, and the final project last. We just keep ...
